So pretty often when my engine turns on after I have been running the heat, there's a brief fuel/exhaust smell in the cabin which then goes away. Does anybody else experience this? I had assumed this was just due to using gas, but it doesn't happen in my Pacifica PHEV.

I have not noticed this either. Sounds like a check on your fuel line may help to figure it out. Perhaps there is a fuel line or a gasket that needs to be repaired for a minor leak.

I recall when I had an injector fail on my Max, my mechanic said that 2 of the others were damp with gas.  Apparently that's what they do before they fail.  So, if it's an actual gas fume you're smelling, barring anything else, I'd probably check the injectors...
