How can I turn just the front parking sensors off.  Reason is that I want to tow my Cmax with an RV and do not want to remove the front hitch when i stop at an RV park.

There is a button on the dash in front of the stick shift to turn the parking sensors off.  I think you have to do it every time you need it when you power up the car.

I tried this but it did not work.  I get a message that says My Key cannot do this.

Interesting...  That sounds like the key you are using was set up under the "MyKey" settings and is restricted from certain operations...

You are right, the second key is the Administrator Key and I was able to turn Parking Assist off.  Now to turn the second key into an Administrator key, any suggestions as the book is not all that clear.  It is interesting that the book talks about multiple My Keys for the car and I only got two and am told that a replacement is about $400.

Bottom of page 52 of your manual under 'Clearing All MyKeys'. That should take care of it.

Yes I have been trying that procedure but the Clear MyKey never shows up.  The system says there are two Admin keys but only one of them turns off Parking Assist.  I'll keep fiddling and maybe eventually both will do the same functions.

You may have a glitch with the MyKey system then. If you have access to use ForScan either on a computer or on your phone, do that and check DTC's and see if there's one under the Body Control Module (BdyCM) that mentions something about personalized keys. If so you may need to bring it in to a dealer to check out if it ends up being a big concern for you.

I've had the same situation with mine since I bought it. 2 keys, dash says 2 admin keys, 0 MyKeys programmed, but one fob ALWAYS ends up with MyKey restrictions. No matter how many times I try to clear it. For me it isn't that big of a deal since that one key I have relegated as a spare and almost never gets used. And the worst restriction it seems to have is an 80mph speed limit.

Yes this sounds like what is happening for me.  I need both keys to be Admin as my wife and I will each drive the car while traveling and only the Admin key turns the Parking Assist off.  I intend to call Ford today and then maybe the local dealer.

Checked in with Ford and they tell me something is wrong with the key so a new one is in order.  I bring it in next Tuesday for the new key and appropriate programming.  Apparently there is also a software update for Synch.  I am new to all this so learning.

It was interesting to find out that the fob is one charge and the key that fits into the fob is a second charge.  Good thing that this is still all covered by the Carmax 30 day warranty.

Ford reprogrammed the key and front sensors can now be turned off using both key fobs.  Sync 3 updated at the same time.
