I did a ton of shopping around, I even considered leasing. but I need 15k miles or more per year. and kept getting ridiculous quotes of 300 per month for a lease.

Yesterday I found the trim I wanted on edmunds.com and the car was at CarMax here in California.

https://www.edmunds....DP5CU4FL104173/

It did cost a pretty penny for a used but only 8K miles!. Id love to hear your thoughts on the deal I got.

21K with taxes and fees

I got an extra CarMax 125K warranty that is transferable for 2.5K.

total was around 23.5 K and I put 6K down. Financing the rest at %2.95

The sales lady said that the best rate shes seen. I doubt that!

Super excited though. I made a few mistakes like pressing the engine start button without the break and wondering why its not going in drive mode. #NOOB

I'd guess that because of the hybrid sticker in California, Energis go for more. As long as you can plug in at home, should be great for you. FWIW, I paid $15k in December for a fully loaded 2014 with pano roof with 14k miles on it. However, I spent several months looking, and drove 150 miles to buy it. I put $5k down and got 3.39%, so you did better than me. Also, bought an extra 5 year warranty due to complexity of car. I still occasionally mess up with the start button, as the car is completely silent. First time I put gas in it, I had to get out the manual to figure out how to open the fuel door. Also forget to close the charger port occasionally.

Enjoy your car! We love ours!

That's really not a bad price (can't comment on taxes and fee's) for what is almost a new car. 2.95 used right now is pretty darn good.

For reference I got my 16 hybrid for $22k warranty and protection package included. It had 6k miles. It was a demo. This was in 2016 November.
2.49%. It qualifies for new car rates.
