Has anyone managed to lower their rear view mirror?  For me, it's too high, and so I can't see very far down the road behind me.

Yes, I can adjust the angle depending on where my head is, but that doesn't change the line of sight from mirror out the back window.

I tried to explain that it doesn't work.  That doesn't change what the mirror can see, it just changes the angle I turn the mirror to point squarely out the back window.

Think about it as putting your eyes where the mirror is, looking backwards.

Not sure what you think the issue is.  If you look at the car from straight behind, the rear view mirror is smack dab in the middle of the rear window, top to bottom.  I don't have any issues with vision behind, and have heard no complaints of this from anyone else either.  In fact, the visibility in this car is way beyond most vehicles.

On my 2013, the mirror is noticeably higher.  Dangit, how do I include pix?

Yeah, I've also noticed the same thing with my '13. On a completely flat road I can see so far back and then stops. No horizon to be seen.

I have a 13 and have no issues I usually need to crank the mirror up in cars as they are too low but as you can see in the provided picture you can see the mirror from the rear window so it really should juts be a matter of seat adjustment or you are just too short:)

Hardly.  Where I sit has nothing to do with what the mirror can see.  Moving myself up or down just shows me different parts of the frame of the rear window until I adjust the mirror, not more of the road behind me.

Those two pics are not at the same angle.  To me the mirror location is the same.  Look where the dash is in both.  In the 2013, the dash is way above center which means the pic is taken more downward making the mirror look higher near the top.  In the blue pic, the dash is near the bottom of the window which means the pic angle is significantly lower than center which makes mirror look in the center.
