My wife is at work and charged overnight. It is 100% charged but says the range is 28kms (17.39 miles) on a brand new car. is it normal for the app to under report? (brand new car less than 600 kms on it)

She is not driving it well yet, in time when she learns how to preserve every kwh she will get more miles.

For starters her coach bars should be all FULL blue, if they are not, look there to make improvements.

So that affects what it says available after a full charge?

That is just a guesstimate based on previous drive, climate setting and probably other input.

Yes because as you perform better you use less kWh per mile, the amount available from the car is fixed so if you perform at 4 miles per kwh you get 22 miles range if you perform at 6 miles per kWh you will see a 33 mile range.

It's always updating based on how you are driving.

Yeah, MFM is telling me 23 miles with a full charge right now.  It's being very much overly optimistic, it'll drop to 19 when I start driving, which is closer to reality with the AC is set to 68F.  (It's not a new car, 92k miles is... around 148k kilometers.)

So, it should correct for you once it's been driven a bit.
