The other day, I noticed a crack in my front bumper. Not sure how it happened, whether I scraped against a parking bollard or sharp upgrade or I was hit in a parking lot, but either way, I *thought* it was just a cracked bumper. No such luck. Today, on the highway, the usual wind noise changed sharply at speed, and I when I parked, I noticed that the underside piece attached to the front bumper was hanging loose. Research tells me that the piece in question is called the Front Bumper Reinforcement, part # 17A792, but knowing that means I also know this repair is going to be pricey. The only minor piece of good news is that, given that my C-MAX itself is silver, the silver-colored 3M Duct Tape currently holding the piece in place doesn't show all that much. I suppose I should be grateful: the piece is still attached in its back, so it didn't fall off, bounce all over the bottom of the car while I was on the highway and do damage or interfere with my driving. Still...*sigh* {Jonathan}
