I am the proud new owner of a 2013 Ruby Red c-max 35K miles. I replaced a 2015 VW Jetta TDI that will be bought back on Jan 14. So far I have had the car two days and love it.

Congratulations and welcome to the Cmax Club!  When I bought my Maxie back in 2013, I picked it up in Buffalo and stayed at the Palmyra Inn in Macedon, NY.  About where you are I think..!

Its a great car you will love it.  I just got back from FL, 3675 mile trip I net 58 mpg!

The car has 36K miles on it and 25K EV miles. I would have likes to get one with less EV miles but the price on this one was too good to pass on.

Yes sometimes people get hung up on driving 100% electric and they try to never use the engine.  Works for a while but not quite the design so excessive use of the battery end up in accelerated wear in the battery, and maybe even some loss of capacity due to constant 240v charging to keep going in and out all day long on EV power.

The car does very well on EV power as well as ICE power.  I try to use my car on EV power when I'm home but don't hesitate to take it on trips and use the ICE as well.

In that mix I've got about 45/55% ICE to EV miles and about 69mpg lifetime.

I was (am) in the same boat as you. I am replacing my 2012 VW TDI. 2013 Ruby Red 303A. It has a few more miles than I really wanted but I felt it was a good price and it was a very rare local trade (not a big market around here).

I paid a little over 60% of what VW is giving me for my TDI. I really liked the car but.........

I'm a new owner of a 2013 gray metallic C-Max Energi. Love it so far but already having a few issues. I can't get it to download my phone book from my iPhone 7 or my husbands iphone6. And the cord is not charging right. Any suggestions for me!

Congratulations and good luck with the car! It's a great choice. LOVE the Ruby Red too. We just picked up a C-Max Energi for my daughter that came from Maguire's Ford in Palmyra, but they brought it to the Duncannon lot for us. I don't really trust the dealership, but we wanted a CPO and there aren't many around right now!
