Hi Folks,

I have a 2016 C-Max Energi purchased in May.  Three times now, my wife and I have both gotten into the car with our keys.  When I press on the start button, the alarm goes off.

The first time it happened, I wondered if I had accidentally pressed the fob's panic button.  But it was in my pocket by itself.  Besides, each time the alarm went off right when the start button was pressed.

I'm guessing this is some kind of software error, but if someone has a better theory I'd appreciate knowing it.  We've read the owner's manual pages for the alarm but didn't find much about it.  The manual says that the alarm will go off if the system is armed and a door is opened.  Since we use the fob to unlock the door, that seems very unlikely.

Anyone had a similar problem, and have an idea how to avoid it?  I'd like to avoid contributing to the noise pollution in parking lots!

Thanks,

   Scott C.
