Would anyone happen to know if the filter is serviceable on the transaxle without removing the transaxle? Alldata doesn't show a procedure. I noticed that one of the filters on rockauto says that the transaxle has to be disassembled.

Looks like it's buried inside and the procedure for changing the fluid doesn't say anything about the filter. On top of that the service manual says it's part number 7G186 but fordparts.com says it's part number 7A098. Since there isn't anything sliding around they may intend the filter to last the life of the transmission.

Would anyone happen to have done a fluid change? Can you tell me where the drain and refill plugs are?

Put me on the list of wanting to know where the drain and refill plugs are, I have 100,000 and would like to change the fluid. I changed the fluid on my 2010 Prius at 60,000 and it was dark changed it again at 140,000 it was still pink. I don't think the C-Max has ever been changed so I need to get that done.

My 2013 manual lists transmission fluid and filter replacement as a 150,000 mile service item.  Any reason you're thinking of having it done early?

After seeing the fluid that came out of the Prius at 60,000 miles and Toyota saying it was a lifetime fluid, I think Ford's fluid needs to be changed before 150,000 miles.
