I ordered the Torklift 2" hitch, but it hasn't arrived yet. My dad lives two hours away, but is coming to my house tomorrow and will be loaning me his ramps and a torque wrench for the install. He's asking how much torque (presumably so he selects the right wrench???)...I have no idea how to answer that question. Help?

Thanks!

It looks like you can request installation instructions from their website.

The installation instructions should show the torque values

It's clear in the instructions, I think it was 35# but wouldn't swear.  Torklift will send you the PDF instructions if you write or call them.  Installation took around 5-10 minutes.  Two important things - have a blanket or quilt to lat the hitch on so as not to scratch the powder coat finish on the concrete ground.  Also be sure to bend the Cmax mounting tab out of the way (it is clear int he instructions) or you won't be able to line up the bolts and holes - the hitch is awkward to raise up straight to the frame, best to use two people.  Not that heavy, just hard to align by yourself.  I love mine, use it all the time for a bike rack, and occasionally for a cargo box to bring gravel or water softener salt back. Just remember the total weight on the hitch is 250#, including the cargo box, it will haul up to a 2500# trailer load.  Best investment to compensate for the battery taking 10" out of the cargo floor space.

Thanks. I requested the instructions, and in case anyone needs this later, it's 22 ft lbs of torque.

I just checked - I bought a torque wrench just for that install 3 years ago, and it's still set at 22.
