After spending several weeks (almost a month) with my phone (Samsung Galaxy Note 3) completely free of Ford applications (unregistering the apps) and after the dealer updated all the software, my random alarm issue went away. My phone was still connected for blue tooth purposes, but no Ford apps. The dealer said to go ahead and reinstall the app on the phone (MyFord Mobile) and to register the app with my account. I did this and everything worked OK for about a week.
Then the alarm started it's dastardly tricks again--not as frequent, but still... I also noticed another wierd thing--I was getting emails in the Sync 3 system as well as text messages. Also strange. Several days before I started getting the emaiils and the alarm issue coming back, I installed the xfinity email app on my phone--this app allows me to get home phone calls (also from my xfinity triple play services) on my phone.
So I decided to pull the xfinity app off the phone. After a day or so, Sync 3 quit displaying email (just text) messages and my alarm hasn't gone off. This has been the case for over a week now.
Anyone out there using the xfinity email app?
