So I managed to find a set of wheels with one season snow tires that were advertised for a 2012+ Focus.  Once I got there he told me the wheels were actually from a Taurus.

These are Goodyear Ultra Grip Winter tires.

MUCH nicer.  I can make it up my hill and I'm not sliding all over the place!

Can't say I've really noticed any decrease in mpg.  It's actually showing a bit higher since this size is about 1% smaller in diameter.

Getting rid of 80mm of combined width has got to be good for snow traction and mpg.  Not really sure why they put such wide tires on as stock.  Probably the same reason it's got a 2L engine.  To make it "SPORTY"!  Don't get me wrong, I'm all for sporty, but I'd rather not get it at the expense of a constant mpg hit.

Do you know what year Taurus the wheels came off of?

Google Image search leads me to think they're likely 2005 or 2006.  Though a little Googling looks like any Taurus wheels from 89-07 should fit.

There are also Jaguar and Volvo wheels with the same bolt pattern but I was a little concerned with the hub bore maybe not being the same.  Then again, I wasn't as sure on the center bore...

Basically you want a 5x108 bolt pattern and a 63.4 center bore as near as I can tell.  Looks like the Jags have the same center bore but the Volvo's have a bit larger center bore.

Hey Levi,

I found these Taurus Wheels on CL:  http://worcester.cra...5783549158.html

They look like the same that you have. I am thinking o grabbing them for my snow tires.

Do you you know the width of these wheels... and what size snow tires are you running?

Thanks!

Alain L.

As RubyMax posted, looks like they are 6" width.

Yep, looks like the same wheels I have.

Haven't looked in a couple seasons but according to the title of this post my snow tires are 205/60-16's.  (:

I got those wheels.

Just need to clean them up and order the snow tires (and order one missing center cap $5 on ebay...).

Thanks all.

Let's try again for the photo (It did not work doing it on the phone).

That ski chalet is very pretty, is that picture this year already snowed like that?
