Thanks for the link.

It looks like this charger will crank over a car with a real starter motor. Do we need this to start the cmax, which only requires closing a solenoid?

I guess $65 isn't so much, but it seems like over kill and maybe something for $20 could work. Any thoughts?

The 12V battery and entire electrical system is under an 8 YEAR WARRANTY from Ford. Ford will replace the battery for FREE and tow it to the dealer to do so.

BUT there is a problem with Ford CMAX energies where they drain the 12V battery. This has happened to us 6 times since we have owned the car. Twice in 2 months.

The dealer replaced the battery 2 Months ago and is was dead 2 months later.

The Firmware on this vehicle is CRAP. We have had about 9 FW upgrades since we owned the car.

There is definitely a BUG is the system that drains the 12V battery.

Ford dealer is clueless since there is no repair step from Ford Corp.

Ford Quality job 17... Time to sell this turd.
