Can I keep my car in park when towing on a tow dolly?  I found this answer on e-trailer.com, saying that I could keep it in park.  This would solve the problem I am having with the battery going dead repeatedly while towing if it is left in neutral for over 6 hours.  Here's the link for the question and answer on e-trailer.com: https://www.etrailer...tion-86417.html

Any conflicting opinions with this answer?  I can't seem to find info on this anywhere in the Ford manuals.

Thanks for your help!

Cindy

Here is what the books says:

"Recreational Towing
Note: Put your climate control system in
recirculated air mode to prevent exhaust
fumes from entering the vehicle. See
Climate Control (page 105).
Follow these guidelines if you have a need
for recreational (RV) towing. An example
of recreational towing would be towing
your vehicle behind a motorhome. We
designed these guidelines to prevent
damage to your transmission.
You can tow your vehicle with all four
wheels on the ground or with the front
wheels off the ground by using a tow dolly.
If you are using a tow dolly follow the
instructions specified by the equipment
provider."

So I'd say you can leave it in park.

As long as the front wheels are on the dolly, you can leave it in park.
