We had a good bit of rain the last couple of days here in Cape Coral Florida over the last few days. I'm guessing, even though me car is 2013,but only 21k miles, I could still have the original wipers. They look quite faded and they were shuddering on the windshield as well as leaving a greasy film behind them. I don't know what's in the reservoir, some blue stuff, but I just topped it up with water when I got the car two weeks ago.

What wipers do people recommend?

Wiper Blades

I ordered the Motorcraft wipers from Amazon but they are still waiting to be put on since the original wipers are still functioning well. I suspect that maybe soon I will need to change them since the original wipers are over 2 1/2 years old.

Motorcraft WW25 Wiper Blade Assembly
Sold by Amazon.com LLC

Price 16.06

Motorcraft WW29 Wiper Blade Assembly
Sold by Amazon.com LLC

Motorcraft WW12 Wiper Blade Assembly
Sold by Amazon.com LLC

Price $17.46

regards,

Tom

Thanks Tom I ordered some too.   We had a really, really wet spring and I looked around my local sources, couldn't find any, but didn't pursue it through the drier summer.

Rock Auto has been running an overstocked sale that includes OEM blades to fit this car.  Don't know if they have any left.  I ordered 3 sets for my C-max and 3 sets for my Fusion and it came to less thant $50 with shipping.  I put one set on the Fusion last weekend and they fit fine.

THANKS tr7driver for sharing the even better deal. :happy feet:   I went with the same 3 Motorcraft part numbers Tom provided which came out to about $44 shipped from RockAuto.

My local Ford dealer sells them for 19.98 a pair. It is on Ford's website too. :)

Can't go wrong with that. There's some good coupons on that page. Thanks fir that.

What about those rainX wipers they advertise on the tv. Are they worth the extra money? I've used the rainX 2 in 1spray on my old car and was quite impressed with the water droplets going up the windscreen at speed.
I see on the rainX website there's a claybar pack for getting for getting the grime out of the windshield, which I appear to have on my cmax. Has anyone tried it?

Being over 6' tall I find that on most cars I look out where the top few inches of the blade clear the windshield. The rain x and Bosch beam blades do a much better job for me in this area.

Subaru replaced the wipers annually while under warranty for our Outback.  Anyone know if Ford is replacing them gratis per 3/36k warranty at least once?

Just went to replace my wiper blades and after reading the manual to find out how to park the blades in the up position I discovered that you can't go to Walmart and buy standard replacement blades as the adapter on the end of the arm does not match standard configuration blades. I appears to be unique to Ford, obviously one of their Better Ideas to force you to buy blades directly from Ford/Motorcraft products.

Has anyone found a way to get standard wiper blades to fit the CMax arm?
