Hello,

I purchased my 2014 energi used with 3,400 miles. It now has 4,600 miles. Everything is fine execpt the remote start. I can invoke remote start from the fob or my phone. The car shows "remote start active" on the display. It appears to be working fine. HVAC system comes on and runs for about 10 seconds then shuts down.

Happens when plugged in, unplugged, fully charged or partly discharged. I've set the system to operate climate control on auto and also to "last setting". Still does not work.  No check engine lights.

I'm wondering if I should disconnect the 12v battery and force a complete reset of the car.  I've seen similar problems in the past with Chryslers and pulling the ignition off draw fuse has corrected the problem.

I just want an option before I pull the 12 battery power.

Thanks!

Welcome to the forum, impaladb!

Have you had a chance to visit your dealer regarding your remote start? Please let me know, along with your mileage.

Check your go times. You probably have something set and it's causing a conflict. This is a common issue

especially with :noobie: I don't use this or any precondition functions, so hopefully someone familiar with it

can help you with more details. Good luck and I hope your learning curve is a short one

IIRC the remote start run time limit is 10 minutes.  I wonder if yours is simply having a software issues causing the early time out?  Personally I'd try a sync reset (buried in the settings menu) first and next a hard reboot (12v disconnect).
