Our other car is set to lock after the doors are shut for a few seconds.  It's nice when you have teens that take forever getting out etc.  Will the 2015 not do this?   I know I can use the buttons but have been spoiled with auto lock.  I just listen for the beep

Thanks!!

Not 100% sure on the 2015 but on my 2013 the answer is no.  I, too, have kids and know how slooooooow they can be.   :drop:

Nope! No auto lock without using the door power lock button, same as GM. Gm ha s delay feature.

The Ford design locks when the last door closes.

On my 2014 Chevy Volt it has this feature, I guess maybe we will have to take it off so we don't accidentally leave the Energi unlocked out of habit. The Volt locks about 5 sec after all doors close without pressing anything and gives a distinct 3 beeps if the keys are left in the car.  Bummer

Then doesn't this take care of the OP's problem? Or maybe I'm not understanding something???

Actually, I didn't post that properly. The doors lock when you hit the button, so you need to wait for everyone to

open their door before using the power lock button. IMO, if you want an audible horn chirp to signal the car is locked

as you're walking away. You could just double bump the lock button on the FOB and it will sound the horn.

I know the GM setup is pretty slick, but this is a Ford so you'll need a workaround for now

I'll have to check this next time I drive the family, but I can push the lock on the drive handle with the other doors open, and I hear the locks engage. Not sure if it actually locks all doors. I often hit the lock button on the FOB anyway in these situations.

I was talking about the lock switch on the inside of the drivers door.
