I'm assuming I have to remove the plastic skid panel to get to it.  Does anyone have a diagram or video?

Yes, you'll need to take off the larger main panel.  There are a lot of screws to remove but other than that the procedure is fairly straightforward.  The oil filter will be easy to see as it positioned fairly low and up front.  It's approximately right above my drill laying on the ground in this photo:

Remove the close-out panel and look up, on the side of the oil pan. You'll see it. No magical hiding place.

It's the same as all the Ford 2.0L engines.

Just did my first oil change @ 6 months and 11K miles.  Old oil was still clean.  Very impressed.

Oil filter torque:  20 Nm, or 8 Nm + 180°.

Oil drain plug torque:  27 Nm

Interesting how old posts get "resurrected".  I need to remind myself to read the dates!!!

Thanks for the heads up.

I did notice the date but thought this was the appropriate place to put that information.

I actually use a torque wrench when changing oil so I get things just right. Sometimes I either don't know my own strength, or my own weakness!
