Does anyone know if there is a downloadable shop or maintenance manual available for the C-Max Energi?

Thank you

AFAIK, this information is prohibitively expensive and I know of no FREE on-line sources.  Helm is an established source for official factory service manuals (don't drink any liquids :reading:  when you look at the CMax prices):

A monthly subscription service is the lowest cost option that I know of.

I use to buy a service manual for every new car back when I worked on them.  Was about $80 in the 1970's-90's as I recall.

Per Helms above link:

    2013 C-MAX HYBRID C-MAX ENERGI WIRING DIAGRAM
      Price: $79.00  In Stock

    2013 C-MAX HYBRID C-MAX ENERGI SVC INFO CD-ROM
      Price: $170.00  In Stock
    2013 C-Max Hybrid/Energi Online Service Information Subscription - 72 hours

I have two complete sets of the Helms Service Manuals for my '05 and '09 FEH's, and I've been waiting for them to come out for the '13 Energi. No such luck for the paperback manuals except for the Electrical. If they do come out, you can start seeing them on Ebay a lot cheaper. I find the best manual is the PCM/Powertrain Emission Manual.

ArizonaEnergi, I've done the same as well with my '84 Bronco (172k miles), '92 Bronco (280k miles), and '02 Yukon XL (260k miles). I'm very much a hands-on fix-it guy with my cars and these official service manuals are invaluable. My muscle-memory tells me to buy the Helm service manuals for the new '13 C-Max Energi. However, I may not be working on this new car with an extended warranty (wife's piece of mind) for the next 7 years. I might let my engineering curiosity win, though, just to help me talk to the service guys. And it's fun to learn.

I also confirmed the prices and availability are the same now as when you posted.

I'm on the same page. Did end up buying the full Helm Manual on CDROM to satisfy engineering curiosity even though I also have the 7 year extended warranty.

Lucille, have you used the Helm Manual enough to have an opinion on it? Is it technically deep and complete? Does it include the electrical and emissions manuals?

Have not used it extensively. It includes all of the manuals--------- powertrain, emissions, wiring diagram, climate control, workshop manuals to name a few.

No, it is not technically deep from an engineer's perspective, but again I'm glad I got it. Coupled with Googling the web and this forum, you can dig out some pretty technical information.

Bottom line...........Glad I got it plus it is very good for locating components.

Lucille, thanks for the assessment. It sounds like just what I'm looking for, although I sure do like my printed manuals when working in the garage. I'm not worried about getting grease and such on them. My laptop is another matter, however. What I need is a 52" flat-screen mounted on the garage wall that will let me flip through the pages without touching it. "For the husband's peace of mind." Yeah...

Maybe a sound bar with subwoofer too!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BTW, you can print pages from the CDROM if you know which specific ones you will need in advance.

Hi, I'd like to add/replace the stock horn with a super loud air horn I got from harbor Freight, and have found the general location by getting a printout from my service guy at the dealership, but am still having trouble finding/accessing the horn wires/leads/area, even with an inspection camera, could I ask a favor of someone with a service manual; to email me the exploded diagram of the horn area?

a specialist, so understand the value of specialism, and have NO intention of shade tree mechanicing my space vehicle from the future, but would just like to do some simple stuff like this...

Thanks!

Wondering too; does the monthly subscription allow you to download and keep the portions you read, or is it read-only?

I'm looking into this this right now, dealer says my transmission needs to be replaced at 160,000 miles.  Car is like brand new in every respect, but spending $8K on a new transmission is unacceptable considering resale value on the car.  I found a local used transmission out of a wrecked energi for around $1500.  If I can find a shop manual I may try the swap on my own.  If anyone has a line on a manual since the date of last post, please let me know.

What is the model year and manufacture date of your C-Max?  See a list here of other failures http://fordcmaxhybri...at-have-failed/
